92Y Celebrates the Assad Brothers’ 50th Anniversary

“The best two-guitar team in existence, maybe even in history.”—The Washington Post

Assad Brothers’ 50th Anniversary at 92Y

Throughout their long career, Brazil’s renowned Assad Brothers have pushed musical boundaries, stirred the imagination and collaborated with the world’s greatest artists in classical, jazz and world music. For this 50th anniversary celebration, they are joined by two of their favorite partners, with whom they have recorded and toured, and who are both musical superstars in their own right: violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg and clarinetist Paquito D’Rivera.

Join us for a free pre-concert talk at 7 pm with your ticket, with Benjamin Verdery, artistic director of 92Y’s Art of the Guitar series and chair of Yale’s guitar department.
